Good Omens, the first review

Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

I've always loved Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, so I decided, even though I hadn't read any of Neil Gaiman's novels, that this had to be awesome. It didn't disappoint, it's amazingly hilarious and full of witty genius. This has become one of my all-time favorites, and after reading this book, I have continued onto Neil Gaiman's other works, and have quickly added him to my list of favorite authors, right alongside Pratchett.

This novel features quite a different outlook on the apocalypse, including an angel and a demon who aren't quite as steadfast as they should be in their sides of good and evil. They are so astray that they are actually friends and decide rebel against their "bosses" to stop the apocalypse because they like humans and living amongst them. Laced with humor that will be no stranger to regular readers of Pratchett and Gaiman, this book is a must-read for fans of the authors or somebody just looking for a non-stop rollercoaster of humor and beautiful writing.

Highly recommended and given a 9.5/10.

A Book Review Blog

This blog will be the host of the future book reviews I will be writing. As I read fairly often, I figure the best way for me to share the novels I enjoy is to review them. The majority of what I review will be of the fantasy genre, but occasionally i will branch out. If anybody has any suggestions on something for me to read and then review, don't hesitate to leave me a comment with the book title and author name, and I will most likely get around to reading it soon. I will post the first review today which will probably end up being rather short. As I haven't really written reviews before, my style will most likely start out rather crude and will hopefully advance into something much more intellectual.
